This policy is short because our data practices are short: the SpendWellFi application collects nothing.

The application

• Stored locally. All financial data you import — statements, transactions, balances, budgets, goals — is stored in a single database file on your own computer and is processed entirely on your computer.
• Encryption. Anything designed to leave your machine is encrypted: shared-export files and partner sync use AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your password via Argon2id. Without your password, the contents cannot be read. Your main database and its local backups are ordinary files that stay on your computer (in a location cloud-sync services don't touch), protected by your operating-system account — they are never transmitted anywhere.
• Household sharing. The optional partner/family sync feature transfers data directly between your own devices over your local Wi-Fi network using end-to-end encryption (X25519 key exchange and AES-256-GCM). Nothing passes through any server of ours.
• No telemetry. The application sends no financial data, usage analytics, crash reports, or identifiers of any kind to us or to anyone else.
• Updates are user-initiated. The update check runs only when you click "Check for updates" in Settings — never automatically. It fetches a public version file to compare version numbers and, only if you then choose "Download & install," downloads the new installer from spendwellfi.com. Every update is cryptographically signed and verified on your computer before installing. Neither step transmits any personal or financial information — your data never leaves your machine.
• We have no technical ability to access, recover, or delete your financial data — we never possess it.

This website and purchases

• Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you buy SpendWellFi, Stripe collects your payment details and email under Stripe's privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details (never your card number) so we can deliver your purchase and provide support.
• We use purchase records solely for order delivery, support, refunds, and legally required record-keeping. We don't sell or share them, and we don't send marketing email unless you explicitly opt in.
• This website itself sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics.

Your rights

To access or delete the purchase records we hold (your email and order history), email support@spendwellfi.com. Your in-app financial data needs no request — it's already only on your machine, and uninstalling the app or deleting its data folder removes it completely.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it, and material changes will be noted prominently on this site.
