Windows tip: the very first time you run a newly released installer, Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC." That's Microsoft's reputation system being cautious about new releases, not a virus warning — click More info → Run anyway. It fades as more people install each release.

Getting started in two minutes

  1. Find your license key — it's in the email we sent you (subject includes "SpendWellFi license", key starts with SWF1-). The app asks for it on first launch; activation happens entirely on your computer.
  2. Run the installer, then open SpendWellFi from the Start Menu (or Applications on Mac) and paste your key.
  3. The Getting Started checklist appears on the dashboard — it walks you through creating your first account.
  4. Download a PDF or CSV statement from your bank's website and drop it on the Import screen. That's it — your dashboard fills in.
